1. What this portal is

The Prudentia Law Client Portal (clients.prudentialaw.com) is a private workspace provided by Prudentia Law Corporation (“the Firm,” “we”) for our clients and the people they authorize. Access is by invitation. By signing in or using the portal, you agree to these Portal Terms of Service.

2. Your engagement agreement controls

The portal is a convenience — it supplements, and never replaces or expands, the terms of your engagement with the Firm. If anything in these terms conflicts with your engagement agreement, the engagement agreement controls. If you have requested access but are not yet a client, no attorney-client relationship exists until the Firm confirms an engagement in writing.

3. Keeping your account secure

The portal uses secure, single-use sign-in links sent to your email address — your email account is the key to your portal account. Please protect it: use a strong, unique password and two-factor authentication on your email; never forward sign-in links or share them with anyone; and use “keep me signed in” only on your own private device. If you believe your email or portal access has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@prudentialaw.com or (650) 268-8128 — we can revoke all active sessions at once. We may suspend access at any time to protect you or the Firm.

4. Communications through the portal

For current clients, information you submit through the portal is part of your representation and is treated according to our professional duties of confidentiality. The portal is not monitored continuously: do not use it for emergencies, court deadlines, or time-sensitive instructions — call our office instead. The portal sends service emails (sign-in links, filing updates, new-device alerts) to your address on file; keep that address current.

5. Payment security — please read

Payment instructions appear only inside the portal, after you sign in. We will never email you account numbers or ask you to change payment instructions by email. If you receive an email that appears to be from us with wiring or payment details, do not act on it — sign in to the portal or call us at (650) 268-8128 to verify. Payment-redirection fraud targets law firm clients specifically, and a phone call is the reliable defense.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to: access only your own matters and information; provide accurate information; and refrain from attempting to probe, circumvent, or test the portal’s security, accessing another person’s account, uploading malicious files, or using the portal for any unlawful purpose. For everyone’s protection, portal activity — sign-ins, submissions, document access — is logged.

7. Documents and your own records

The portal is a working tool, not your archive. Please retain your own copies of documents you submit or receive. Files you upload must be accurate, lawful, and within the posted size and type limits; we may remove content that poses a security risk.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the portal available at all times, but it is provided “as is” and may be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control. Portal availability is never a condition of our representation — anything you can do in the portal, you can also do by calling or emailing our office.

9. Privacy

Information in the portal is handled according to our professional obligations to you as a client. Our general website practices are described in the firm’s Privacy Policy.

10. Suspension and closing

We may suspend or close portal access when an engagement ends, at your request, or when necessary for security. Closing portal access does not affect your rights to your file, which are governed by your engagement agreement and applicable rules of professional conduct.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be noted in the portal. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law; questions

These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute arising out of portal use will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California, unless your engagement agreement provides otherwise. Questions? info@prudentialaw.com · (650) 268-8128.
